1. BOOKING & PAYMENT

1.1 New Clients: TBS requires payment up front to book services for the first 4 uses of TBS Pet Services. After this time, the Client is deemed an Existing Client.

1.2 Clients: TBS requires payment by cash, cheque or bank transfer at the end of each working week. Cash or cheque for payment would need to be available for collection on the last pet drop-off/visit of the week in question i.e. if last weekly walk/visit is Thursday, payment should be made on that day.

1.3 Regular Accounts: More regular accounts, once established, can be paid by a monthly direct debit, with the consent of TBS.

2. CANCELLATION

TBS require 24hrs notice for cancellation of a service. Less than 24hrs notice may be charged at 50% of the cost of service depending on reason of cancellation.

3. LIABILITY

3.1 TBS will not walk more than 6 dogs at any one time and is fully insured for liability for all such dogs and legal expenses and will remain fully insured at all times.

3.2 All dogs will be subject to an initial assessment by TBS staff prior to using TBS Services. TBS reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog deemed in their absolute discretion to be, or have the potential to be, dangerous or disruptive. Any such pre-dispositions in the Client’s dog must be disclosed at this assessment stage.

3.3 The Client agrees that, in admitting their dog, TBS has relied on the Client’s representation that their dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour toward any person or any other dog. The Client agrees to notify TBS immediately of any unwelcome, aggressive, procreative, or dangerous behaviour of their dog that has potential to cause harm to any other dog or individual.

3.4 The Client is solely responsible for any and all harm or damage caused by their dog while it is under the care of TBS, or is using any other services provided by TBS, and agrees to indemnify TBS in full against any liability arising from such harm or damage to third parties. For this reason, it may be in the Client’s interest for all users of TBS services to have their pet insured.

3.5 Client agrees to provide keys/arrange access to the dog for the agreed appointment. Failure to do so will result in a cancellation for that day’s service and will be paid in full by the client.

3.6 The Client agrees that, by signing the key holder waiver form, this will indemnify TBS in full against any liability arising from loss or damage to the property or its contents in present and future circumstances.

3.7 This agreement is valid for all future visits until a new agreement is signed. TBS reserve the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion; likewise, the client may terminate this agreement at anytime. There is no term of contract for daily walking.

3.8 TBS will only allow off-lead exercising once an “Off-lead Consent” form has been signed by the Client. Off-lead exercise remains at the discretion of TBS.

4. PET (DOG) IDENTIFICATION

4.1 In accordance with the Control of Dogs Act 1992, every dog while in a highway or in a place of public resort shall wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it.

4.2. In order to comply with this legislation, TBS shall only walk dogs that are correctly identified.

5. HEALTH CARE

5.1 TBS requires all dogs to be fully vaccinated, wormed and flea regimes are kept up to date. The Client agrees to take any necessary measures or precautions to ensure that their dog is continuously free of contagious, infectious, or otherwise communicable diseases. The Client further agrees to notify TBS immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions their dog has been exposed to or is affected by. Such diseases and conditions include, but are not limited to: Distemper, Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Parvovirus, Corona virus, worms, Lyme disease, Fleas, Pregnancy, Infectious Skin Diseases and Intestinal Parasites. TBS reserves the right to refuse admission until satisfied that the condition is resolved.

NOTE: Dogs vaccinated for Kennel Cough (Bordetella) still have some risk of contracting Kennel Cough. The Client agrees that they will not hold TBS responsible if their dog contracts Kennel Cough while in the care of TBS.

5.2 TBS offer services where dogs co-mingle in groups and the Client accepts that during the course of normal dog play their dog may sustain injuries. All dog play is carefully monitored to avoid injury, but scratches, punctures, torn ligaments, or other injuries may occur despite the best supervision.

5.3 The Client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives or that the Client’s dog causes to any other dog while under the care of TBS together with any associated costs e.g. call-out charges. The Client authorises TBS to seek such veterinary advice and/or treatment as they deem necessary. Where possible this will be carried out by the Client’s usual/preferred Vet but this cannot be guaranteed (e.g. in an emergency) and the Client accepts that TBS may, at their discretion, use any registered Vet. The Client agrees to pay all such costs immediately upon pick-up of their dog or by agreement with the proprietor.

5.4 Bitches may not attend group walks while in season or pregnant. As an alternative, a short private walk can be arranged at a reduced price.The client's dog will remain on lead for the duration of the walk.

5.5 The Client agrees to ensure their dog has not eaten in the hour before pick up by TBS to ensure sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play. Failure to do so may result in the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion). TBS can be instructed, in writing/email to feed the Client’s dog after exercising.
